Interactive Exhibits Across Two Major Museums
Exhibition Technologies developed the software for several of the dual-language (Arabic/English) interactive exhibits spanning two museums within the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Centre: the Space Museum and the Arabic Islamic Science Museum. Working with NewAngle, we built multi-user touch table interactives, gesture-driven installations using Microsoft Kinect, and RFID-based exhibits.
Space Museum
The 4,300m² Space Museum covers three galleries: Space Science, Space Exploration, and Space Academy. Our software powers exhibits including ones where visitors design spacesuits, pilot spaceplanes, and clear orbital debris.
Arabic Islamic Science Museum
This museum celebrates the Islamic Golden Age through object-rich, interactive storytelling. We developed software for a range of installations across the museum, from large-scale multi-user interactive tables and touchscreen exhibits to digital experiences that blend with physical artefacts and architectural models. Each exhibit required bespoke software handling dual-language content, multiple simultaneous users, and integration with custom hardware.
